Improper packaging can jeopardize your shipment, so it is very important that you try to comply with the best practices in packaging.
During transport, your merchandise should be able to withstand shocks, vibrations, and falls from a minimum height of 1.5 metres.
Poor packaging could lead to the following risks:
Damage to the merchandise.
Delayed transit times.
Manipulations of your merchandise.

Total deterioration of the merchandise.
Here are some top tips from a specialist packaging company to help you make your shipping trouble-free.
1. External packing
Select the quality of the packaging. Choose quality materials, rigid and in good condition, always choose a box and avoid plastic envelopes.
Choose a corrugated cardboard box. Make sure you have a sturdy and durable cardboard. The box must be new, not used.
You must have a box with an appropriate size for the merchandise you are sending. Empty space can bend easily.
The handling instructions (fragile, arrows, etc.) do not guarantee the safety of the goods.
2. Inner packing
The packaging provides protection of the goods during transport. Good internal packaging must protect the product from shock and vibration, and recover its original shape, as it acts as a buffer.
Polyethylene foam sheets
These offer optimal protection of the surface since they have excellent damping properties. Their use is ideal to protect light objects.
Bubble plastic sheets
The compressed air provides good protection for lightweight items, it is a flexible material, allowing the wrapping of products of almost any shape or size.
Inflatable packaging works by using the air pressure to isolate the products from the external temperature, maintaining the form of the container.
This forms a cover around any product, reinforces the corners and protects the edges. It is considered very useful when filling is required.
The wrapping paper or kraft paper for filling must be well wrinkled, you must also wrap each item with at least 5 cm of paper.

These are lightweight materials and usually have a low cost, with the ability to resist the possible impacts during transport, returning to their original shape.
Two or more sheets of single or double corrugated cardboard can be used to create a protective screen between the product and the container (external packaging).
These are boxes of different sizes that can fit into each other.

These protect the corners of furniture, doors, panels and countertops from possible impacts.
3. Close and seal properly
Seal and close your box in the form of an H: Create an H shape with adhesive tape, covering all possible openings.
Use a reinforced quality adhesive tape. The tape should be less than 50mm wide.
Locate a little cardboard or protective plastic on the edges and outside of the box to distribute the pressure evenly and avoid damage.
Stick the labels in a very visible way on the outside of the box. When picking up, the messengers will read the barcode of the labels with their PDA, remember that you must paste only valid labels and eliminate any others to avoid confusion.
